Equestrian Events on Philadelphia's Main Line
he Devon Horse Show Grounds, located on Route 30 is home to two prominent equestrian shows. The spacious grounds include covered grand stands with seating for 3,000 at the main Dixon Oval, a second performance ring, warm-up arenas, extensive stables and the tree-shaded lanes of the Festival area.
Dressage at Devon is the most prestigious dressage competition in the hemisphere. It is an international rated dressage show as well as the largest open breed show in the world.
The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse competition in the United States. In the late 1800's, the heads of several prominent Main Line families met at the Devon Inn and created the Devon Horse Show Association to encourage the breeding of better horses.
The food vendors at The Devon Horse Show Grounds are rated as the best on the horse show circuit and the Festival area and overall venue are unique in the horse show world.
