Old Eagle School


E

arly schooling was taken care of at home or in churches. Old Eagle School was established in 1788 as a general meetinghouse for religious and educational purposes. The cost to attend was three cents a day or $2 a quarter. Next to Old Eagle School rests a graveyard which contains graves of local residents and soldiers who died at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-1778.
